Chartr on ONDC: First in India to Build Intra-city Bus Ticketing as an ONDC Seller

Chartr was the first company in India to build intra-city bus ticketing ONDC seller and is one of the most active participants on the Open Network for Digital Commerce.

This achievement is backed by scale. Chartr has fulfilled 6.04 crore+ orders on ONDC, with ₹90.69 crore+ in total seller amount — and has onboarded 7+ buyer network participants onto the network.

Public transport systems have traditionally operated as closed platforms, requiring custom integrations for every app or operator. Through ONDC, Chartr enables standardized discovery, booking, and fulfillment of bus journeys across buyer applications without vendor lock-in.

For transport authorities, this means wider distribution without loss of control. For buyer apps, it enables instant access to verified transport inventory. For commuters, it results in more choice and better availability across platforms.

This ONDC milestone builds on Chartr's role in enabling India's first open GTFS dataset for buses, helping cities move toward open, interoperable public mobility ecosystems.
